The primary component in CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE is silicate. The ADMIXTURE reacts with the properties in the concrete creating a gel, increasing the density of the concrete.
2. Will it, or could it, react negatively with any other concrete ADMIXTURE?
No, negative reaction with other ADMIXTUREs. It is compatible
3. Does it change the color of the concrete?
The color of the concrete does not change but is more consistent. The ADMIXTURE eliminates most of the mottling.
4. Does it change the finish of the concrete?
The finish is smoother, denser, and in most cases eliminates the need for other topically applied sealers.
5. Does it react with the steel?
The ADMIXTURE encapsulates the steel and rebar inhibiting rust and corrosion and helps to eliminate attack of intrusion from corrosive soils.
6. Does it change the structural values of the concrete? If so, do you have independent test results or ASTM test numbers and results?
CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE increases densities of the concrete, typically increasing strength from 5% to 25%. We have an abundance of data from projects over the years and would be happy to share it.
7. Is it usable in all types of Portland cement concrete?
It can be used in all cement types and anything cementitious including stucco and shotcrete.
8. Can the concrete surface be painted just like concrete without ADMIXTURE?
Yes.
9. Is there a compatibility issue with colored curing compound and Concure?
No, they are compatible.
10. Can slabs be cured with plastic membrane overtop?
Yes, CONCURE SYSTEMS follows the American Concrete Institute and Resilient Flooring Institute. Guidelines for curing interior slabs to receive flooring. See CONCURE SYSTEMS 2100 cure and seal for alternative.
11. Must your curing product be used (CONCURE SYSTEMS 2100)
The 2100 was developed only to take the place of other curing compounds and sealers not compatible with all flooring adhesives and coatings. The 2100 actually enhances the bond between adhesives and coatings.
12. Has the product been approved or endorsed by any flooring manufacturer?
No flooring manufacturer will endorse a manufacturer of Moisture Vapor Emissions Control systems but we have worked with the majority of floor covering manufacturers over the past 23 years with great success.
13. Have you had any failures?
We have had NO product failures in 21 plus years.
14. Do you have references and may I contact them?
We will be more than happy to forward our reference list to you. Yes, by all means please contact anyone who has used our superior product!
15. Would it be difficult to accommodate your product into specifications?
The CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE & 2100 Cure & Seal can be easily integrated into your 03300 specs.
16. Does your warranty include repair or replacement of any damage caused by failure of your product?
Our warranty clearly states that we do replace any damaged flooring from moisture migration through the slab. We will gladly forward a copy of the warranty to you.
17. How long does it take to cure or be suitable for moisture testing or floor installation?
We subscribe to the American Concrete Institute guidelines for cure time, 28 days minimum. There is very little bleed water or hydration with the CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE. In most cases flooring can be installed 30 to 45 days after concrete placement. A .45 water/cement ratio is recommended. See data sheet for recommended w/c ratio, slump, and dispensing requirements.
18. Is your product approved by the DSA and OSHPD ?
There are no ADMIXTUREs approved by DSA or OSHPD, but Concure Systems has participated in several OSHPD and DSA projects over the years. In January of 2002 DSA reevaluated their program and no longer includes ADMIXTUREs, (Source: Terry Fong, DSA (916) 324-7099).
CONCURE SYSTEMS has over 23 years of experience in the industry specifically focusing on MOISTURE VAPOR EMISSIONS CONTROL. CONCURE SYSTEMS offers experience in concrete repair, restoration, investigation, consulting and moisture mitigation.
Concure Systems has provided high performance construction materials to the flooring industry over 23 years. The CONCURE SYSTEMS Admixture for sealing concrete slabs becomes an integral part of the concrete, lending many value added benefits including turning the slab into a vapor barrier the thickness of the slab itself.
