BASIC USE:

The primary use of CONCURE SYSTEMS Admixture is for waterproofing new on-grade, below-grade concrete slabs and elevated decks. This type of admixture takes the guesswork out of where to use a vapor retardant

COMPOSITION & MATERIAL:

Function - CONCURE SYSTEMS reacts with water and alkali filling the capillary system with calcium silicate hydrate (CSH). The route for moisture migration to occur is eliminated.

Plasticizing Action- Once Concure Systems is added to the mix design it reacts with the water to allow the concrete to be flexible, even at low slump.

Installation:

PREPARATORY WORK

Handle and store product according to CONCURE SYSTEMS Recommendations. CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE should be used in all interior floor slabs unless noted otherwise. Maximum slump with water should not exceed 4 ‘’ (101.60 mm). Follow manufacturer’s instructions for dispensing. CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE is added directly to the concrete mix design.

APPLICATION – FLOORING

Cracks, expansion joints and saw cuts should be filled with a cementitious patch using CONCURE SYSTEMS Binder as the liquid mixing component in combination with a high performance self level cement.

Dispensing

CONCURE SYSTEMS is added at the concrete batch plant or jobsite at a rate of 14oz (397 g) per 100 lbs. of cementitious. Additional dosage may be required for an increase in high early strength benefits.

Truck or Plant Mixing

The accuracy of measurement of any admixture should be within plus or minus 3%. Two or more admixtures may be used in the same concrete batch, provided such admixtures are added separately and that the combination has no deleterious effect on the concrete.

Onsite Mixing

Add the CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE to the concrete truck and let drum rotate for 7 minutes before discharge.

CURING

CONCURE SYSTEMS recommends following established ACI guidelines for curing interior slabs to receive flooring. Complete installation recommendations are available from the manufacturer.

PRECAUTIONS

A representative of CONCURE SYSTEMS  manufacturer should be present at the jobsite during mixing and placement of the first batch of treated concrete.

Use non-chlorinated additives such as accelerators, plasticizers and water reducers with CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE. Air entrainment is not needed. Retardants may be used when ambient temperatures exceed 75°F (24° C).

CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE is used in lieu of a portion of the mix water, not in addition to the mix water. The water-to-cement ratio is critical. It is imperative to comply with the designed water-to-cement ratio, .45w/c ratio or less as recommended by Resilient Flooring Institute. Use of plasticizers and/or water reducers is recommended to achieve slumps greater than 4”. 

STORAGE TEMPATURE

Above 45 degrees, Do not allow to freeze. Separation may occur under 45 degrees and thorough agitation will be required.

BUILDING CODES

Current data on building code requirements and product compliance may be obtained from CONCURE SYSTEMS technical support specialists. Installation and use of this product must comply with the requirements of applicable code jurisdiction.

 Warranty:

CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE is formulated for the flooring industry and meets or exceeds all guidelines pertaining to moisture emission as established by the flooring industry. This admixture carries a standard manufacturer’s construction warranty for ten (10) years against moisture related failure, including all finish floor materials and labor. Product Description:

The crack fill binder is a premixed white liquid, which combines a specialized acrylic co-polymer and a high strength self level cement , (call 480-820-7171 for approved self level cements).

Basic Use:

When mixed with a high strength self level cement, the crack fill binder enables all saw cuts, cracks and control joints to become impermeable, so that no moisture can intrude through these voids.  The Crack Fill Binder is mandatory with the use of all Concure Moisture Control Systems.

Mixing Instructions:

When using CONCURE SYSTEMS Crack Fill Binder with a high strength Self Leveling Cement, use 1 gallon of crack fill binder and up to (thicker the better) 2 quarts of water per 50 pound bag of high strength self level cement (call 480-820-7171 for approved product).  The installer may add up to 1 additional quart of water as needed for flow.

Crack Preparation:

All cracks, saw cuts, and control joints less than 1/8 inch wide must be ‘v’ grooved or routed 1/4 inch wide and approximately 1/2 inch deep.  Vacuum after preparation.

Application:

The concrete must be clean, dry and not contaminated with substances that would promote de-bonding.  The substrate must not have any movement and should be structurally sound.  After the concrete has been shot blasted, in accordance with CONCURE SYSTEMS Shot Blasting Specifications; or scarified, prime the cracks, saw cuts, and control joints with the Crack Fill Binder concentrate.  Apply a two inch band of material on either side of the crack.  Once the crack fill binder has set up to a semi dry tack, mix the crack fill binder and the self level cement to patch the cracks.  Trowel down excess patching material onto the two inch band on either side of the crack.  The CONCURE SYSTEMS may be applied immediately, if so desired.

Spread Rate:

The crack fill binder when mixed with the Concure  Systems self level cement will average 120 linear feet.


2100 Cure & Seal

Product Description:

Concure 2100 is water based, nontoxic premixed liquid that is designed to penetrate the surface of green Concrete to minimize dusting and penetration of spills that would other wise stain the surface. 2100 will resist oil, food, water stains, diluted acid and minimize the deep penetration of graffiti. 2100 is designed to enhance the cosmetic appearance of finished concrete and aid in applications that require periodic cleaning. It should be used as a replacement for, and not in conjunction with, other curing compounds. 2100 has zero V.O.C.s and no special handling is required. 

LIMITATIONS:

Do not apply this product at temperature below 40°F. The surface must be properly prepared before the product can be applied. Do not apply to concrete with standing water.

Composition:

Concure 2100 is comprised of inorganic, environmentally safe chemicals that are directly inherent to concrete. 2100 will have a natural chemical reaction with the portlandite element produced from hydration. The chemical reaction forms C.S.H. that will become the permanent barrier.

APPLICATION:

Green Concrete: Concure 2100 is applied in place of curing compounds on green concrete. Apply 2100 after finishing is complete and when the surface can just be walked on without marring the surface. Using a low-pressure sprayer, apply one coat of 2100 in an even manner until the concrete looks glossy. Broom out any puddles that may have formed.

Apply one coat evenly at a rate of 300 square feet per gallon. Do not allow puddles to accumulate and dry on the surface.

A test sample should be prepared to determine the appropriateness of this product for the application. If using on colored concrete, testing is mandatory to ensure no adverse reactions.  

Warranty:

The manufacturer warrants that this product is free from defects and limits liability to replacement of the product only. The appropriateness of this product for any application is to be determined by sample testing under applicable conditions.

NOTE:

CONCURE 2100 CURE & SEAL IS VERY COST EFFECTIVE. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE MECHANICALLY REMOVED. OTHER "DISSIPATIVE" CURING COMPOUNDS USUALLY REQUIRE MECHANICAL REMOVAL PRIOR TO FLOORING INSTALLATION AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY REQUIRE THE MARRED SURFACE TO BE SKIM COATED TO PREPARE IT FOR FLOORING INSTALLATION. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

CONCURE SYSTEMS Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ is a topically applied system designed to stop floor coverings from de-bonding due to moisture. The system is water based and designed for fast track installations. The primary use of Concure Systems Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ is for waterproofing below grade slabs, on-grade slabs, and elevated deck slabs.

This system stops hydrostatic pressure, capillary action and moisture migration. It also creates a negative and positive side barrier. This product is compatible with all adhesives, self-levelers and floor coverings.

Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ is a silicate sealer that penetrates into the concrete slab. A reaction occurs between the lime and excess Portland cement, which is always present, and forms Calcium Silicate Hydrate (CSH). This process will encapsulate the moisture to create a permanent break in the capillaries of the concrete, stopping all moisture related problems caused by moisture vapor emissions out of or through the slab.

This system is designed to stop moisture problems measured at all levels intolerant to the installation of flooring as recommended by flooring manufacturers.

TESTING:

Either an ASTM D-5084 test and/or ASTM D-4263 test done by flooring contractor is required and the results of this test must be registered with Concure Systems Corporation. (See Concure for further details)

USES:

Concure Systems Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ is a topically applied system designed to prevent floor coverings from de-bonding due to excessive moisture.

COMPOSITION:      

Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ is a formulated blend of silicates and reactive ingredients.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

EITHER brush blast using 440 shot OR use a Planetary Grinder, 32" Lavina Disc, PCB Blades (acceptable brands Extreme Grinder, Lavina, Cutters or equal) to achieve an ICRI ( International Concrete Repair Institute) profile 4 or 5. This is required by Concure. The surface, after shot blasting or grinding is completed, should be white in color with no signs of curing agents or other types of concrete finished surface.  After brush blasting or grinding, make sure the surface is clean, with no signs of dirt, oil, curing agents, sealers or adhesive residues. All loose material and dirt must be removed from cracks in order to allow proper bonding.

APPLICATION PREPARATORY WORK:

Handle and store product according to Concure Systems recommendations. Concure Systems Vapor Barrier +PLUS+ should be used in all interior slabs unless noted otherwise. Using a low pressure sprayer, apply one generous coat. Coverage is 200-300sf per gallon. Do not let the material pond on the surface. Broom material evenly to cover all areas. Dry time is usually about an hour, depending upon the temperature and jobsite conditions.
