Product Description:

The Crack Fill Binder is a white liquid, which combines a specialized acrylic co-polymer and a high strength self level cement, (call 480-820-7171 for any additional questions).

Basic Use:

When mixed with Concure’s high strength self level cement, the Crack Fill Binder enables all saw cuts, cracks, cold and construction joints to become impermeable, so that no moisture can migrate through these voids. The Crack Fill Binder is mandatory with the use of all Concure Moisture Control Systems.

Mixing Instructions:

Mix all Acrylic Co-Polymer with all 25 lbs of type 1 cement (Concure SL1 is preferred). Mix thoroughly (with a drill mounted tile grout mixer) to a trowelable-pourable consistency. The addition of water is permitted, not to exceed 2 quarts per the mix ratio stated above. The material must be fully wetted out for placement into cracks.

Crack Preparation:

Rule of Thumb: If a dime fits- ‘V’ grove it out. All cracks, saw cuts, cold and construction joints must be ‘V’ grooved or routed 1/4 inch wide and approximately 1/2 inch deep.  Scrape out, clean, and vacuum after preparation.

Application:

The concrete must be clean, dry and not contaminated with substances that would promote de-bonding.  The substrate must not have any movement and should be structurally sound.  After the concrete has been shot blasted, in accordance with CONCURE SYSTEMS Shot Blasting Specifications; or scarified, prime the cracks, saw cuts, cold and construction joints with the Crack Fill Binder’s acrylic co-polymer liquid.  Apply a two inch band of material on either side of the crack.  Once the crack fill binder has set up to a semi dry tack, mix the crack fill binder and the self level cement to patch the cracks, etc. Trowel down excess patching material onto the two inch band on either side of the crack. The CONCURE systems (admixture(s), Vapor Barrier Plus, and 100% Solids Epoxy) may be applied immediately, if so desired.

Spread Rate:

The acrylic co-polymer when mixed with the Concure Systems Crack Fill Binder will average 150-175 linear feet per pail.
